MFA in Emergent Media | Summer 2017 semester | Puzzles & Prototypes
Assignment: Iterative design project throughout the course of 9 weeks, focus on flexible space and furniture.
In this collaborative project, I worked with 3 other grad student teammates to design a multi-purpose media space for a large vacant room at Champlain College's satellite campus. The space was to serve many needs: computer work space, VR development, Cyclorama green screen, physical prototyping, theater/performance, team meeting areas, kitchenette, and storage - all under the auspices of being extremely flexible and functional for students and faculty. The project was two-fold: 1) design the space and 2) design some prototype furniture for the space. This course was all about design thinking and iteration, methods which were employed throughout this project.
