soak it up

This caught my eye, especially because of my current leaf love, but also because it's so simple yet so smart... I just had to make a quick post about it. Found on swissmiss's blog via bloglines and I think it's totally brilliant and beautiful (so are all the things on her blog, so check it out).

The Growing Calendar by Oscar Diaz

Óscar Díaz has developed an amazing technique were a specific paper absorbs ink gradually. This way he creates "living" calendars, where numbers get ink-filled daily, or plants grow. It was showed under the Gradual category, in the London Design Festival in 2007. (Via Cuarto Derecha)
